trade Aircraft ABS, EETC/ETC and other complex structures. The RWP Aviation
Finance team leverages an institutional sales force of 50 specialists who average
more than ten years of experience with a network of relationships covering North
America, Europe and Asia.
We provide our clients with aviation advisory and strategies supported by indepth
analysis.Recently, we were lead manager for the inaugural $100mm global medium note for Avation PLC,
a publicly traded aircraft leasing company based in Singapore. In addition, we have successfully completed
mandates for Airbus, AerCap and Aviation Capital Group as well as remarketing $100mm+ E-Note from the
Airspeed aircraft securitization.
Steve Welo, CFA
Steve joined RWP in July 2010 after a 13-year career at Piper Jaffray, where he focused on
aviation finance in both Institutional Sales and Investment Banking. Throughout his career, Steve has developed in-depth
relationships with investors, aviation lessors, airlines, manufacturers and lenders. Mr. Welo received a B.A. Finance from the
University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Clay Smith, CFA
Clay joined RWP in 2009 as a Senior Analyst with responsibilities in special situation bank
loans and aviation research. Prior, Clay spent 11 years in senior research roles at AIG, American Express, and most recently, at
Deephaven Capital Management. As an institutional investor, Clay managed a large portfolio of Aircraft ABS securities as well as
being actively involved in several corporate restructurings. Clay was also involved in the re-packaging of structured aircraft
transactions. Clay holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Irvine, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Southern California, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Jeff Golbus, CFA
Head of Trading
Prior to joining RWP in 2009, Jeff had spent the
majority of his career as an institutional investor. As a Portfolio Manager of Distressed Credit at Deephaven Capital Management,
Jeff was a large EETC/ETC investor and was actively involved in the United Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Delta
bankruptcies. Previously, he actively handled workout situations at Nationwide Insurance from 2001 to 2005. Jeff received a B.A.
from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Emily Wilson, CFA
Prior to joining Pressprich in 2012 as an institutional salesperson, Emily had traded the
aircraft sector at Piper Jaffray and Morgan Stanley. As a trader, Emily transacted in EETCs, ETCs, aircraft ABS, private loans and
other aircraft products. She also developed relationships with many investors, often advising them and providing perspective on the
aircraft market and insight on specific securities. Emily received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University.
